Awen Cultural Trust has appointed three Associate Artists, thanks to funding from Arts Council of Wales: Naseem Syed, Jason Hicks and Tamar Williams (pictured l-r).
These new roles provide an exciting opportunity for Awen colleagues to work alongside, and learn from, diverse creative freelancers who are aligned with our aim of ‘making people’s lives better’.
Over the next two years, you can expect to see them supporting our programme of workshops, projects and live indoor and outdoor events across Awen with our Creative Wellbeing team.
Naseem Syed
Naseem is a Welsh Persian multidisciplinary artist, craftivist and director of Ziba Creative. Her art is rooted in her mixed heritage, nurturing creativity, humanity and nostalgia. Naseem developed AZADI to raise awareness of the Women Life Freedom revolution in Iran and Protest Pom Poms to advocate for peace, change and unity.
