Tom Foolery’s Beans on Toast at The Grand Pavilion

Kev F’s Comic Art Masterclass at Maesteg Town Hall
Having previously written and drawn for The Beano, Doctor Who and Marvel comics, he will now teach you how easy it is to do so too!
Join us at Maesteg Town Hall this February half-term for an exciting workshop perfect for young creatives. Everyone will go away with a comic made by everyone in the class plus an individual caricature by Kev F himself!

Nest Box Building at Bryngarw Country Park
You can encourage birds into your garden this spring by providing plenty of spaces to nest. This will bring you a plethora of fascinating bird behaviour to watch, all whilst encouraging your children to learn about the fabulous wildlife we have living in South Wales.
To get started, join our park rangers this February half-term and build your own nest box. All materials are provided for the activity and it’s a great way to keep the little ones occupied.

Children’s Willow Weaving Workshops at Bryngarw Country Park
Are you looking for an activity to get your children creative this half-term? Our team at Awen have organised for the fantastic Out to Learn Willow group to lead a workshop that will demonstrate how to make fun and exciting willow crafts. From butterflies and fish to hearts and swords, children will have the chance to get creative and take home each of their fabulous creations.

Daytime & Evening Cinema: A Star is Born at Maesteg Town Hall

A remake of the 1937 film, A Star Is Born is a 2018 American Musical Romantic Drama starting Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga as its main characters. The film follows a hard-drinking musician (Cooper) who discovers and falls in love with a young singer.
Chosen by the American Film Institude as one of the Top 10 films of 2018, this title has received numerous accolades including five nominations at the Golden Globe Awards including Best Motion Picture and winning Best Original Song for Gaga’s “Shallow”.

A Cabinet of Curiosities at Bridgend Library
Perfect for all ages from young to old, all creaking hinges and dusty cobwebs are prised open in this entertaining theatre, revealing lots of magical stories, songs, crankies and illuminations amongst the library shelves.
Organised as part of our Live and Loud programme across Bridgend libraries, this imaginative piece will be set right in the heart of the library where imaginations run wild.
