Family Willow Weaving Workshops at Bryngarw Country Park
Are you looking for an activity to get your children creative this half-term? Our team at Awen Cultural Trust have organised for the fantastic Out to Learn Willow group to lead a workshop that will demonstrate how to make fun and exciting willow crafts. From butterflies and fish to hearts and swords, children will have the chance to get creative and take home each of their fabulous creations.

Join storyteller Cathy Little at Betws Library whilst she shares some brilliant and magical stories from her brand-new children’s book. Glamorgan Folk Tales includes stories of exciting adventure which are all meant to be heard.

Monstersaurus in Maesteg Town Hall

Birdbox building in Bryngarw Country Park
You can encourage birds into your garden this spring by providing plenty of places to nest. This will provide you will plenty of fascinating bird behaviour to watch, all whilst encouraging your children to learn about the fabulous wildlife we have living in South Wales. To get started, join our Bryngarw Park rangers this February half-term and build your own bird box.
Back by popular demand, this activity is set to take place in the visitor centre with all building materials provided. Perfect to keep the little ones occupied, come along and get involved before taking a stroll to spot the different species of birds that habitat in our beautiful country park.

Soap Soup at Carnegie House
Set in the wet lands of Dartmoor, the deliciously visual storytelling of Soap Soup will bring your most unforgettable adventure yet. Inspired by the evocative tale of The Pixies’ Scarf by Alison Utterly, this show combines charmingly funny characters, cleaver puppetry and wonderful music. Suitable for ages 3+, this show is sure to entertain the whole family.
